Youth (7-12)

LogoConnecting Our Youth to Christ

Twelve:2 is our youth ministry here at Grace Baptist Church. Our goal for our teens is to "not be conformed to the pattern of the world, but transformed."  Our desire is to connect teens to Christ and His Church in their teen years, so when they go out into the world they will be ready to live out their faith.

We offer a variety programs and training opportunities for teens in grades 7-12. We invite you and your teen to visit us on Sunday or Wednesday night to get a better sense of what we are about.  You can get directions to Grace Baptist here.  You can read blog posts by Pastor Jordan related to youth and their families here.

Our Youth Ministry Purpose

We want every teen who engages with our youth ministry to:

Know

the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior.

Grow

into committed disciples of Jesus Christ.

Show

spiritual leadership in their church, school, and home.

Go

into the world, making disciples in their sphere of influence.

Sunday Bible Study - 9:00 AM

Grace Baptist Youth Bible StudySunday mornings are a time when our youth ministry comes together to learn and explore God's Word. Here is where students learn how to apply God's Word to their daily lives. Recent studies include Galatians, Heros of the Faith, and "Growing up Christian."

We have separate classes for Junior High students (7-8) and High School students (9-12).

Wednesday Youth Group - 7:00 PM

Wednesday nights are full of worship, games and in-depth Bible study. Our youth group wraps up each meeting with small group discussion and prayer.

This is the night where our entire Youth Ministry comes together to connect through Christ.

Growth Opportunities

Monthly Activities - In addition to weekly activities we also Activityhave monthly activities to help connect, grow, and serve together.  Some of our favorite activities include:  Skyview Ranch (winter retreat), Service days in Cleveland and Refuge of Hope, and Paintball at Camp CHOF.

ActivityLeadership Training - Many of our teens also serve during the school year as AWANA LIT (Leader in Training.)  Through this program, teens work side by side with adult leaders to help with the Awana program, while developing vital leadership skills.

Refuge of HopeSummer Trips - We alternate between mission trips and adventure trips for our summer trips.  In recent years our teens have been to Shepherd's Home, New York City, West Virginia (rafting), and Skyview Ranch (mission trip).
