FAQs – Attending Grace Baptist on a Sunday

Worship and Classes at 9am. We have a class for each person who attends. Our children’s ministry classes include the nursery (birth-2 yr olds), 2-3 yr olds, 4-5 yr olds, primary (1st-3rd grade), and Junior classes (4th-6th grade). Our teens are divided by junior high and high school. Our adults typically have the option to choose between a Bible study and a practical living class. Currently, we are walking through “The Gospel Project” curriculum in our activity center as one large class.

Worship and ministry at 10:30am. Our worship service at 10:30am is a combined time of teaching, music, and prayer as a family in our new updated Worship Center.  During this time, we do continue to offer nursery and preschool for their age-appropriate learning.

    1. What Bible do you use? If you have your own Bible and would like to bring it, great! If not, we are happy to provide you with one of ours to use during worship. There’s no “right” or “wrong” Bible to bring, we believe several very good translations of the English Bible are available today.
    2. What style of worship do you have? We have a mix of styles with our music from classic hymns to current praise songs. Our pastors preach in a way that expounds the Word of God and shows how you can apply it to your life.
    3. What should I wear? Visiting a church can be intimidating, but we want you to feel comfortable at Grace Baptist. If you’re wondering what to wear, our attendee’s attire ranges from dress casual to casual. Dress in a manner that is comfortable for you and will not distract or hinder worship. You’re welcome here, and we care more about getting to know you than what you wear. A suit or jeans? A dress or shorts? The choice is yours!
    4. What should I bring? A Bible if you have one and something to write with. We are happy to provide you with a Bible if you do not have your own. Weekly sermon notes to help you follow along with the sermon at the welcome center.
    5. What is the congregation like? Our congregation is diverse generationally and in spiritual maturity – a beautiful mix that enriches our time together. Age, gender, race, political views and other stigmas “in the world” are of no concern to us.
    6. What are Life Groups? Life Groups are our Sunday afternoon and evening small group ministry. There is a life group that should accommodate everyone with 10 different groups meeting weekly. These groups are a great opportunity to build relationships and go deeper into applying God’s Word. We have groups without children, family-friendly, and young adult-specific group.
